Courageous LOve

I believe that when we look for love courageously, it reveals itself, and we attract even more love. If one person really wants us, everyone does. But if we’re alone, we become even more alone. Life is strange…- Paulo Coelho

What is courageous love? Is it when one exposes himself even if he knows he can be hurt? Is it when one accepts to be changed by the other in the process of love? And is there a red line that cannot be crossed? Where courageous love ends and self humiliation starts?Poets and anchorites love their loneliness. Does this mean they are unable to love?- MAria ( A response to PAulo's post)

HEre's Paulo Coelho's Post about Provisions of a HEartbreak... I reposted it because I know someone will definitely get struck in this post.. hahahaha... Blogmates, This is a response to Yoomie's Love Hugs versus Kisses... hahahaha!!!

General provisions:

A – Whereas the saying “all is fair in love and war” is absolutely correct;

B – Whereas for war we have the Geneva Convention, approved on 22 August 1864, which provides for those wounded in the battle field, but until now no convention has been signed concerning those wounded in love, who are far greater in number;

It is hereby decreed that:

Article 1 – All lovers, of any sex, are alerted that love, besides being a blessing, is also something extremely dangerous, unpredictable and capable of causing serious damage. Consequently, anyone planning to love should be aware that they are exposing their body and soul to various types of wounds, and that they shall not be able to blame their partner at any moment, since the risk is the same for both.

Article 2 – Once struck by a stray arrow fired from Cupid’s bow, they should immediately ask the archer to shoot the same arrow in the opposite direction, so as not to be afflicted by the wound known as “unrequited love”. Should Cupid refuse to perform such a gesture, the Convention now being promulgated demands that the wounded partner remove the arrow from his/her heart and throw it in the garbage. In order to guarantee this, those concerned should avoid telephone calls, messages over the Internet, sending flowers that are always returned, or each and every means of seduction, since these may yield results in the short run but always end up wrong after a while. The Convention decrees that the wounded person should immediately seek the company of other people and try to control the obsessive thought: “this person is worth fighting for”.

Article 3 – If the wound is caused by third parties, in other words if the loved one has become interested in someone not in the script previously drafted, vengeance is expressly forbidden. In this case, it is allowed to use tears until the eyes dry up, to punch walls or pillows, to insult the ex-partner in conversations with friends, to allege his/her complete lack of taste, but without offending their honor. The Convention determines that the rule contained in Article 2 be applied: seek the company of other persons, preferably in places different from those frequented by the other party.

Article 4 – In the case of light wounds, herein classified as small treacheries, fulminating passions that are short-lived, passing sexual disinterest, the medicine called Pardon should be applied generously and quickly. Once this medicine has been applied, one should never reconsider one’s decision, not even once, and the theme must be completely forgotten and never used as an argument in a fight or in a moment of hatred.

Article 5 – In all definitive wounds, also known as “breaking up”, the only medicine capable of having an effect is called Time. It is no use seeking consolation from fortune-tellers (who always say that the lost lover will return), romantic books (which always have a happy ending), soap-operas on the television or other such things. One should suffer intensely, completely avoiding drugs, tranquilizers and praying to saints. Alcohol is only tolerated if kept to a maximum of two glasses of wine a day.

Final determination : Those wounded in love, unlike those wounded in armed conflict, are neither victims nor torturers. They chose something that is part of life, and so they have to accept both the agony and the ecstasy of their choice.

And those who have never been wounded in love will never be able to say: “I have lived”. Because they haven’t.(definitely.... Coelho said it right.... HAiz.....)

Ups and Downs of a Psychology Student

Well, its gonna be a countdown till our graduation comes this May... I found it so surreal that after the drastic four years of college, here I am pondering some thoughts on whether I learned anything from this course...

Well, as a matter of fact, I really learned some things, those that are not gained through memorization and were actually stuck in my subconscious and some became a point of view of mine already ..Wanna learn some too?

  • I learned that its actually the hypothatlamus, ( Thanks to Dan and Mrs. SAnchez..) that makes us fall in love yet it was the heart that breaks...
  • Subcutaneous adipose tissue is the medical term for bilbil.. That is the kind of fat that is very difficult to take away from our tummies, thighs, arms and every part that needs super exercise before it disappears in our system..( thanks Maam Villanueva...)
  • Lordosis seems to affect people with "P" titles.. Preggies, Policemen, Politicians.. although the latter two just got it from graft and corruption...
  • Force Majeur or natural disasters was a good way to have good grades... It not only ceases an obligation, it also gives you 1.25, 1.75 and any grade not lower than 2.5.. hahaha... Kaso, it makes you shiver in 3 hours of terrible cold and makes you clean a comfort room you never wished to clean..
  • Analysis of Human Behavior was a great subject to discover the lakwatsera within you.. (especially if you belong to our section...I'm still bitter about it..) You also need to learn how to listen to a lecture that you never had a clue about..( Just because I'm a dummy in Algebra and Statistics.. )
  • Rizal was the luckiest hero having a reputation of a womanizer plus winning the lotto..( I really hated the memorization about his life stories especially the Spanish works...)Whoever that got a great final grade in this subject, bow ako sa yo...
  • Group Dynamics.. a Subject to nurture the roaring kid within you plus feeding the roaring kid within the tummies of your classmates.. There are no losers, just cheaters,, hahaha...Ang napikon sa subject na to, sobrang KJ!!!!
  • Sternocleidomastoid was the only pivot joint used by people when a cute guy/ girl passes by... I love the word it stuck in my memory...
  • I understand that creativity is not just the way we do the arts... I was Creative after all... Dare: MAke a Creative story about the Jelly wall... Ipagluluto ko ng sisig!!! (Serious ako..)
  • Organizational cultures exist anywhere.... I belong to a few... And its still growing...
  • The Phallic Stage... I still don't know its meaning but it sticks in my head... all the time...
  • Boomers, Nexters, GEn X were actually group of people... I'm afraid of belonging to this kind.. THE THUNDERS.....
  • Physics was the best lesson to be cheesy... GRavity is not the only constant thing in this world.. its LOVE.. HAHAHaha....
  • BIOchemistry is just Biology and Chemistry united.. It also equates the level of difficulty of Rizal and BAsic Economics with TAR... BE ready with a lot of money when taking this suject.. because its not just discussions, lectures and quizzes... Its PHOTOCOPIES...
  • Confidentiality is a thing... Not just in Psychometrics I and II but in anything... Lalo sa OJT...
  • KArate makes you wear suspenders, Wigs, all white outfits and silly stuff...Nakakatakot!!! Sometimes, I wondered if taekwondo can really be an exercise for pregnant women.. (NOw playing: Eye of the Tiger...)
  • Procastination was an Art.. I mastered it... I was one of the best students in doing it.. HAHAHAHa!!!
  • I learned that my selective attention was too broad... I'm finding difficulties in erasing some memories in my head,. Masyadong malawak ang laman ng long term ko than my short term... The decaying parts were still on my head leaving imprints of the past... Causing distortion... causing pain... HAaaaYY!!! Psychology nga ako!!!
  • World Literature can be fun... It brought the director in me... again.... hahahaha.... the result was incredulous.. sobra.. hahahaha!!!!!
  • Statistics is a class full of corny green jokes...
  • In thesis making, you definitely need two or more copies of drafts.. One is for iN case of emergencies and one for repalacements... MAs madami mas ok...
  • Clique is the start of a strengthened relationship with friends... It was start small, but the number doesn't count the value it holds... Our barkada is never just a circle of friends.. Its already a circle of siblings... May variety of attitudes and beliefs but the variety turned out to balance every differences we have...dahil dyan, I need to learn more about self-efficacy...
So many things to write but I guess tama na muna to....hehehe.. Today at exactly 11:35, we finished our finals in Counselling... Malapit nang matapos ang buhay estudyante ko.....
